Some of the so-called experts didn't consider him a candidate when Holtz was fired because they didnt know he is from Bradenton and recruited the state heavily.

I thought he would be a candidate immediately. Now, can he win and recruit at the BigEast level? He won (sort of, 7-5 twice) but did not exactly tear up the Belt. And will his being at USF help or hurt the Owls in recruiting, now he won't be taking all those Florida kids out of state at least.
