Melvin German had a pretty good day in Wednesday's spring practice, as did Chris Jackson and Derek Moise. Plus, Brian Wright talks about the hurry up. Take a look: http://fauowlaccess.com/articles/186/fau-offense-in-no-hurry-yet.aspx

Interesting mix of people on the sidelines for Friday's practice. Signees Austin Bland, Robert Miller, Greg Hankerson and Bobby Mitchell were there, as were former Owls Cerge Sincere, Marcus Bartels Brandon Jacobs and Chirs Laskowski. There were also about 15 high school players in attendance.

Bland brought Aquinas teammates Tyler and Blake Dever. Tyler is a rising senior offenslve lineman. Blake is a couple years younger and is a QB.

Carl Pelini called the video of a 7-year-old who was invited to the Nebraska spring game and allowed to score a TD "touching." He said he would "absolutely" welcome the group that put Nebraska players together with Jake Hoffman to campus. The group is called Uplifting Athletes.

Interesting story from CBS Sports: Conference USA is weighing a 16-team conference. Right now there are only 14 teams. Would this be good for C-USA and FAU?
