Dec. 7 C-USA Championship Game
Like last year, we play one home game in Sept. and one on Oct..
Kind of hard to build any excitement like that.
But one of those road games is against Miami at Sun Life, so overall it's not a bad schedule and I'm glad we get Tulane at home before they go to the Big Least.
Yeah, I'm not crazy about starting with 5 of 6 games on the road, but at least 2 of them are in Florida.
I think FAU fans should get used to starting the season on the road. C-USA rules mandate that schools must complete their non-conference schedules in the first five weeks. That means the Owls' schedule will be front-loaded with garauntee games. Of course that could all change if the conference adds or drops teams in the coming years.
As for Tulane at home, I wish that one were on the road. Wouldn't mind an excuse to visit New Orleans for a weekend...
FAU's season opener against Miami has been moved to Friday August 30.
I'm with you on the New Orleans thing Chuck. I think that I'm legally allowed there again. But that is a different story for a different time.
Anyone know why the game was moved from Saturday to Friday?
My understanding was that there was a conflict with a Dolphins preseason game.
It looks like the FAU-Miami game was moved to Friday because there will be a game of more interest in Sun Life on Saturday - St. Thomas Aquinas will be playing Miami Northwestern.
Conference USA has rescheduled the East Carolina game for Thursday, Sept 5 and the Shula Bowl game for Friday, Nov. 29 (the day after Thanksgiving). The games will be televised nationally.
FAU's football game at USF on Sept. 14 will kick off at 7 p.m.
FAU's Sept. 28 game at Rice will be televised on FCS.
ECU just lost two WR's to academic ineligibility Justin jones a senior and jabril Solomon a sophomore.
How many quarterbacks do they have?
Couragious article Chuck!
Now ....watch your back bro
One extra home game with a team like Miami could actually provide nearly as much revenue as the budget cut if the stadium is full. Maybe this was the...
Cutting the budget should be ne big deal with the huge increase in ticket sales for football.
Sounds to me like this is the off season and not much to talk about. There will be more fans in the stadium for the Miami game than we normally see...
But you can't know whether the percentage increase is correct without knowing the underlying numbers. Without the numbers, how do you know that FAU...
