Reinforcing its defensive line is the top priority for Florida Atlantic in this season’s recruiting class.
FAU has already extended a handful of offers to potential defensive linemen in hopes of beefing up a front four that too often in 2009 seemed porous against the rush and lax against the pass.
One defensive lineman who is considering signing with the Owls hails from Florida’s Panhandle home and already has the size to fit right into the Owls’ current crew.
In fact, when FAU coach Joe Corozza saw this four-year starter for the first time, there was nearly a scholarship offer on the spot.
“He’s been wanting me to commit since the first time I talked to him,” Sean Watson said.
