Howard Schnelleberger is putting the band back together.
The former FAU coach will be on the sidelines as head coach of the national team in the Texas vs. The Nation collegiate all-star game and he's bringing some previous FAU assistant coaches with him.
Former FAU running backs coach Dave Serna, offensive line coach Dale Williams and defensive line coach Johnny Frost will be coaching under Schnellenberger again. All three were with Schnellenberger during his final year with the Owls in 2011.
Former FAU coach John Bock will also join the staff. Bock coached the offensive line at FAU from 2003-04.
Steve Marshall will also be on the staff. He coached with Schnellenberger at Louisville.
This will be Schnellenberger's third time coaching the Texas vs. The Nation game. He coached in the first two games, winning one, before taking last year off.
The Texas vs. The Nation game pits college seniors who are either from Texas or played college football in Texas against players from across the nation. The game will be played on Feb. 2 at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas.
In years past Schnellenberger has brought FAU players to the game. Linebacker Frantz Joseph was the Defensive MVP in the inaugural game.
Linebacker David Hinds and quarterback Graham Wilbert would be the most likely to make the trip this year.
