They do run, run
Florida Atlantic utilized its fast-break offense in its victory at Troy and after scoring 88 points, Owls coach Mike Jarvis doesn't mind of the players push the ball when they do a good job rebounding.

BOCA RATON – After a few weeks of slowing down its offense, Florida Atlantic picked up the pace against Troy on Thursday.
The result was an 88-67 victory that saw the Owls score more points than they have since a 93-90 double-overtime loss to Miami on Dec. 19.
FAU isn't speeding up its offense on every possession, but did find more opportunities to get its fast-break going against the Trojans due to misses on three-pointers that led to long rebounds.
“We were playing against a team that allowed us to run,” Jarvis said.
But if the chance to push the ball up the court is there, as Thursday's game against Troy showed, the owls aren't afraid to get back to their running ways.
“We haven't changed, but if you rebound you can run,” Jarvis said. “You can't run if you don't rebound.”
The Owls will get their next chance to keep their offensive momentum going on Saturday when FAU faces host FIU in Miami.
The Owls defeated the Panthers in both meetings last season. Brett Royster's last-season lay-up gave FAU a 73-72 victory in Boca Raton and the Owls defeated the Panthers 80-78 in overtime last season in Miami.
“You better be up for everybody, but you should be up a little bit more for your rival,” Jarvis said.
