Running back Jay Warren rushed for better than 1,800 yards as a senior.

It turns out that FAU doesn't plan on waiting for Raphael Webb's Monday morning announcement after all.
Gulf Breeze-Navarre running back Jay Warren says FAU offered him a scholarship on Sunday night and he jumped at the chance to become an Owl.
“I'm feeling great! I'm feeling great!” Warren said. “I called my mom she loved it. I'm a future Owl.”
Warren visited FAU this weekend but left without an offer. FAU coaches told him they wanted to see whether Gainesville running back Raphael Webb committed to the Owls on Monday. Webb had stated he would choose between FAU and Minnesota on Monday morning.
The Owls only planned to take one more running back, so if Webb announced he was going to FAU there wouldn't be a spot for Warren.
FAU apparently got tired of waiting on Webb.
Warren is somewhat of a late bloomer in the recruiting process. Even though he rushed for 1,832 rushing yards and scored 21 total touchdowns as a senior, most of his offers came from FCS schools or lower.
FAU didn't start recruiting him heavily until a week ago. TCU has also invited Warren to visit and Kansas State is showing interest.
