It’s been quite a road trip for FAU guard Lyrell Barfield.
Barfield scored a career-high 25 points on Saturday as the Owls defeated Denver 70-56 on Saturday.
That performance was slightly better than her 24-point performance in the Owls’ 94-76 victory at North Texas on Wednesday.
“She’s a great player, no question about it,” said FAU coach Chancellor Dugan. “Her teammates are really looking for her and trying to set her up for success. Anytime you have the unselfishness that we have, good things are going to happen.”
The Owls (12-11, 8-5) also received 16 points from Carla Stubbs as they won their third consecutive road game.
FAU led 31-30 at halftime before using a 16-2 run in the second half to take control of the game.
