Owl Analysis: FAU’s 2010 baseball season provided many thrilling moments as the Owls made it back to the NCAA Regionals. And with most of the team coming back, things look good for the future of the program.

Florida Atlantic coach John McCormack was hired in July 2008 and given an unenviable task of getting the Owls back into the NCAA Regionals.
It took all of two seasons for McCormack to do just that as the Owls went 37-24, won the Sun Belt Conference regular season title and made their first NCAA Regional appearance since 2005.
“Overall I thought it was a very good season,” McCormack said. “We won the regular season of our conference which is not easy. …We showed up every weekend whether it was on a bus or a plane, we showed up every weekend and won and won in dramatic fashion at times.”
And, with most of the team returning, it appears the Owls will contend for the Sun Belt title again next season.
