BOCA RATON – Ready or not, FAU begins Sun Belt Conference play this weekend when the Owls travel to face Troy in a three-game series beginning on Friday at 7 p.m.
FAU coach John McCormack thinks the team is prepared to start conference play.
“We’re ready for it,” McCormack said. “These guys are looking forward to it.”
Following an impressive series last weekend when the Owls took two out of three games vs. Boston College and then defeated Pitt on Wednesday, FAU appears to be on a hot streak.
And the Owls would like nothing better than to keep it going vs. the Trojans, which swept FAU last season.
“Against Troy, it was hell,” said senior outfielder Anthony Mesa. “It was not fun. They just beat us down and when a team does that, I have a personal vendetta when I face them the next year and I have a personal vendetta against Troy.”
