Florida Atlantic’s Alex Hudak went 2-for-4 and made some key plays in the field, earning the MVP Award in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game on Tuesday night.
Hudak also scored a run in the South’s 5-3 victory over the North at Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, Mary.
Playing leftfield, Hudak threw out a runner at the plate in the third inning and had a diving catch in the fourth inning to rob Joey Cujas of extra bases.
At the plate, Hudak singled in the third inning and singled and scored in the fifth inning.
At FAU, Hudak led the Owls with a .360 batting average. He will be a senior next season.
In the Cal Ripken League, a wood bat collegiate summer league, Hudak is hitting .287 for the Bethesda Big Train.
