Florida Atlantic senior wide receiver Lester Jean appears ready to assume the role as the Owls’ big-play receiver.

BOCA RATON – It’s been a while since anyone but Cortez Gent or Chris Bonner has been Florida Atlantic’s big-play receiver.

With those two gone, that role this season will fall to Lester Jean, who is ready to show what he can do, according to Owls receivers coach Jared Allen.
“He’s definitely capable and he’s shown he can handle that with the amount he has worked in the summer,” Allen said.
In 2009 Jean started for most of the season opposite Bonner, who drew most of the attention from defenders.
