After sitting out a year, freshman defensive end Cory Henry is ready to finally make his college debut Thursday at UAB.

BOCA RATON – Not only has Florida Atlantic freshman defensive end Cory Henry not played in a football game in two years, he hasn’t seen any games in person in that span either.

Henry signed with the Owls in 2009, but sat out last season, deferring his enrollment until January. In the fall, he had no interest in going to games if he wasn’t playing in them.
“I just didn’t want to go,” Henry said.
But Henry has plenty of interest in Thursday’s game at UAB. After an impressive performance during spring drills, Henry is expected to see his first college action as a reserve vs. the Blazers.
