Offense
On paper it looks pretty good. FAU had 347 yards passing and 151 yards rushing, but perhaps that’s why the loss was so painful. For the first time this season, the Owls showed they could move the ball and finish drives. But penalties and breakdowns are what fans will remember about this game. The execution of the plays wasn’t the greatest, but the calling of the plays was even worse, especially on the last drive of each half. Grade: D
Defense
A real improvement here mainly because the Owls were able to get to quarterback Trey Revell - which is no easy task. FAU recorded its first safety since 2006 and defensive tackle Mauricio Ricquer, who had a blocked kick in the 2007 game vs. ULM, had a fumble recovery. There’s plenty of room for improvement, but it’s a step in the right direction: Grade: B
Overall
The Owls are 0-3 overall and with Wyoming coming next week are staring an 0-4 start in the face. There are plenty of problems and not much time to fix them, but really what the team needs is a victory, because with another loss in the Sun Belt, the pressure will really begin to mount. Grade: C-

Tight end Jason Harmon
Harmon was sick most of the week, but had to quickly fill in when Jamari Grant left the game after re-injuring his ankle. Harmon had career highs with 11 catches and 132 yards.
Defensive tackle Dino Cox
Somebody has lit a fire under Cox and its paying off. Cox was in on both sacks of ULM quarterback Trey Revell and finished with four tackles.
Running back Alfred Morris
In just his third game as a tailback, Morris already looks like a veteran. Morris scored his first career touchdown and had 122 yards rushing.
