Florida Atlantic will be without RB Avionne Rolle for Saturday’s game at North Texas and it may be surprising who FAU coach Howard Schnellenberger is considering to return kickoffs.

BOCA RATON –Redshirt sophomore running back Avionne Rolle who is also FAU’s leading kickoff returner isn’t practicing with the team and won't make the trip to North Texas for personal reasons FAU coach Howard Schnellenberger said Thursday.
“He’s had an emergency he needs to take care of ,” Schnellenberger said.
Rolle has nine carries for 15 yards this season, but was the Owls’ leading kickoff returner this season with an average of 23.5 yards on 10 returns.
It's not clear when - or if - Rolle will return to the team.
Rolle graduated from Miami-Central and red-shirted in 2007. His best game last season came against North Texas,when he had three carried for 15 yards.
In Rolle’s absence, redshirt freshman Michael Barasch will be used as the backup to Alfred Morris. Barasch has not carried the ball in his college career.
