Four players signed National Letters of intent with Florida Atlantic during the early signing period.

Here’s a capsule look at each player:

G Shaneese Bailey

  • School: Callahan-University Christian High School
  • Height: 5-8
  • Scouting Report: Led University Christian High School to a 44-8 record during the past two seasons. ...Is ranked as one of the top 250 prospects in the country by Dan Olson’s College Girls Report. Also is listed as the No. 60 shooting guard in the country.
  • Quoting Lewis-Jay: "Shaneese is a phenomenal athlete who can jump out of the gym. She is a tenacious defender who plays all out on every possession. She is a great scorer, who can score in a variety of ways. Shaneese is someone who I have been watching for the last three years and is perfect for our system.”

G/F Raven Doyle

  • School: Lancaster (Calif.) - Desert Christian High School
  • Height: 6-2
  • Scouting Report: Was named the Desert Mountain Player of the Year in 2011-12 after leading Desert Christian High School to a 20-win season. ...Also received first-team All-California Interscholastic Federation honors following her junior season.
  • Quoting Lewis-Jay: "Raven is a tremendous player who can play multiple roles in our program. She can play all five positions on the floor. At 6-foot-2, Raven can handle the ball like a point guard and can also score on the block near the basket. She also made seven three-point field goals in a game last season. That versatility will be a great asset for us."

F Kat Wright

  • School: Woodland Hills (Calif.)-Notre Dame
  • Height: 6-0
  • Scouting Report: A multi-dimensional player, having played several positions throughout her high school career.
  • Quoting Lewis-Jay: "Kat is a great three-point shooter, can handle the ball and can consistently score on the low block. She has a motor that never stops, and her work ethic and heart make her very special."

G Aalihah Dotson

  • School: Masillon (Ohio)-Central Catholic High School
  • Height: 5-6
  • Scouting Report: Started at Canton McKinley High School during her freshman and sophomore years. ...Helped the Bulldogs to a state championship as a ninth-grader and earned All-Stark County first-team honors the next season. Also had a strong AAU career playing for the SMAC team, coached by Andre Gault.
  • Quoting Lewis-Jay: "Aaliyah plays tremendous on-ball defense. She is exactly the type of player we were looking for to lead our defensive system. On offense, Aaliyah is the definition of a true point guard. She is a great decision maker, who knows when to call her number and when and where to hit the open person."
