On a night where the shot clocks were off at Lakefront Arena because of a malfunction, FAU was lights out as the Owls defeated UNO 66-48 on Monday.

The victory was the first Sun Belt road victory under Mike Jarvis for the Owls, who lost at  Louisiana-Lafayette 81-74 on Saurday.
“Anytime you win on the road you better to be happy,” Jarvis said on ESPN 760’s post-game radio show. “I’ll take the split even though I thought we should have had two.”
The victory was also the first conference victory this season for the Owls, who were led by Ray Taylor's 20 points and Sanchez Hughley's 11 points.

The Owls (5-4, 1-1) led the Privateers (3-4, 1-0) 34-28 at halftim, but lost the lead in the second half before forward Brett Royster keyed a 16-0 FAU run to put the Owls in charge for good. Royster finished with 11 points.
‘It was a very good team effort,” Jarvis said. “We started out strong, we had a little bit of a lull and then we finished strong.”
It was FAU’s first Sun Belt road victory since Rex Walters was the Owls’ coach.
