When Florida Atlantic went to Troy, Ala. Last season, the Owls escaped with a victory.
On Thursday, FAU couldn’t repeat the feat, losing to the Trojans 94-87 at Trojan Gym.
Last year’s victory at Troy was the last time FAU has won a road game – a streak of five games.
FAU coach Mike Jarvis was ejected late in the game after picking up his second foul.
According to the Dothan Eagle, Jarvis said he didn’t deserve the ejection.
““It was a joke,” Jarvis said. “The only thing I’m proud of is I didn’t curse, or it may have been justified It was poor judgment by the very young official. All I said is the guy had his hand on him.”
Owls senior guard Paul Graham had a career-high 28 points and Carlos Monroe and Carderro Nwoji had 23 points each.
FAU (4-7, 0-2 Sun Belt Conference) led 61-58 with 15 minutes remaining but went scoreless from 14:09 until 8:49 remaining,
The Trojans were led by Travis Lee and Michael Volger, who each had 15 points.
After starting 3-1, the Owls have lost six of their last seven games.
