UPDATED 10:33 p.m.:There is sad news out of Miami as Florida International running back Kendall Berry was stabbed to death on campus on Thursday.

Berry,  who would have been a junior in the fall played in seven games last season rushing for 264 yards and scored six touchdowns.

The Haines City graduate did not play in 2008 and rushed for 81 yards in 2007.

According to the Miami Herald, there was an argument outside a rec center and someone stabbed Berry, who died on the way to the hospital.

Friday night the Herald reported Quentin Wyche, former teammate of Berry's was arrested after turning himself in to authorities in Berry's death.

FIU has suspended its spring practices indefinitely.
