Sunday's FAU Daily Briefing: McCormack should be SBC Coach of the Year

The official ballots are due soon for the All-Sun Belt team and the other awards the league office will announce this week.
One can expect a few FAU players to be recognized on the team, but also John McCormack to be named the Coach of the Year.
In fact if McCormack doesn’t win, there needs to be a Palm Beach County-style recount.
In his second year, McCormack improved on last year’s eighth-place finish in the Sun Belt Conference by winning the conference championship this year.
He did so while losing his closer early in the season and having to juggle the pitching rotation throught the season.
I think McCormack,
shown here taking a dive after the Owls won the title, pushed the right buttons and kept the team on an even keel throughout the season.
I think it’s a no-brainer, but we’ll see what the voters think when the winners are announced this week.
