Trump provides enjoyable day on the links

FAU hitters may not have been too successful on the diamond last night, but there were some big hitters on the course earlier in the day.
Traveled up to the Trump International course yesterday prior to the ballgame to check out the FAU Golf Tournament. Unlike last year when rain was a factor, yesterday’s conditions were perfect.
The course was in immaculate condition and everyone I talked to in the sold-out field seemed to be enjoying themselves.
The first hole and the 17th were the biggest hits. FAU Athletic Director Craig Angelos schmoozed with each foursome as they passed the first tee, hitting a fifth drive that the groups had the option of using.

Defensive Coordinator Kurt Van Valkenburgh split his time between the first and 17th. He even let Jesse Sun take a gander at his championship bling.
Many FAU sports were represented. Football radio analyst lucked into a foursome that included ringer Joan Joyce.
A couple of girls from the Blue Martini manned the cosmo station on the first.
Hooters girls monitored the tequila and cigars at the 17th.
The tournament is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Owls every year. Broadcaster Roger Twibell played this year and also emceed.
