Saturday's Daily Briefing: Vuvuzelas at FAU games?

The Florida Atlantic SGA has expressed some interest in something that could create a real buzz for Owls football games.
That’s right – there are some preliminary plans to buy and distribute vuvuzelas for football games.
As of Friday, nothing has been finalized, but it is still under consideration.
However, there is one problem – and it’s a doozy.
Vuvuzelas are outlawed by the Sun Belt Conference. According to the conference office, the obnoxious horns, which became a global sensation during the World Cup, fall under the conference policy prohibiting artificial noisemakers at games.
I really wish this wasn’t the case as I believe the vuvuzelas would add to a festive atmosphere at games. Of course, it should be noted that the windows in the press box at Lockhart Stadium don’t open.
So, my official stance is this: I think the horns would be a great idea, provided I don’t have to hear them.
