Owls look like they may be getting on their roll

Don't look now, but Florida Atlantic could be heating up, just as it has done the last few Januarys.

With a thrilling 67-66 victory over Western Kentucky on Thursday night at The Burrow, the Owls have won their last three and four out of their last five games.

The only loss in that span is to Middle Tennessee, which is beating every one this season.

FAU isn't getting consistent play each night from its players but is still finding ways to win games. Just imagine if everyone would show up each night.

If that were to happen, and there is plenty of time, FAU might be able to be a factor in the Sun Belt race, although catching MTSU might be too tough to ask.

But with just a little bit of improvement, it's not out of the question to think the owls can make some noise at the conference tournament with an NCAA bid on the line.

I like the fact that he has DC experience as well as as DB experience. Sanders was a DB guy and Pelini thought he could really help the young backs....

Decent resume. If he takes it, hope he sticks around for more than a few weeks.

Good resume. Lots of DC experience at the FBS level. I approve.
