Jarvis says poor officiating contributed to FAU loss against FIU

During his time at FAU Mike Jarvis hasn't made it a secret that he's not fond of Sun Belt Conference referees.

Following Saturday's particularly frustrating loss to FIU he was at it again.

A couple of calls where the refs allowed “continuation” drew his ire. Jarvis felt several foul calls that should have been called on the floor before the shot were instead considered to have been in the act of shooting – resulting in either a counted basket or free throws.

Jarvis argued frequently enough that he was eventually slapped with a technical foul. While those displays of emotion often light a fire under a team, Saturday's T seemed to give confidence to FIU. FAU trailed by three when Jarvis was whistled for the tech. The Panthers pulled away from there.

In the post-game press conference Jarvis laid the blame for the loss on his teams'  inability to play two halves of basketball.

I asked Jarvis what upset him so much that he kept trying to make his point with the referees. The video below contains his answer, as well as some of the calls he felt were questionable.
