Merchant Circle - 5 Stars

Home-style delicious Mediterranean food. I fell in love with the mixed grill; lamb chops, kosher meatballs, gyro and kabobs. We sat outside next to the fountain. The octopus salad is unique, I have never found a place that makes it like they do. Fresh bread dipped in olive oil. My brother found many vegetarian options also- eggplant and mushroom saute with humus and feta-cheese pastry dishes. Lentil soup was amazing. Service was excellent and friendly, Huseyin is the best server, he also makes the best Turkish Coffee. It seemed like a family owned restaurant. We saved $$ by bringing our own wine- no corking fee! We are definitely going back." Read All Reviews at Merchant Circle

"Cool little spot:
Grabbed some hummus, stuffed eggplant, lamb, chicken skewers and grape leaves.  Everything was AWESOME !!!  To top it all they have  B.Y.O.B so you can bring some nice stuff in.  FULL BAR as well." Read all Yelp Reviews

Likewise, the Hot Appetizer Medley ($14.50) is a nice tour. It includes falafel, fried zucchini, fried eggplant and something called a Finger Roll, in which phyllo is stuffed with feta and herbs and fried until golden. The accompanying tahini and yogurt/dill sauce called cacik help cut the oiliness of the fried vegetables. Don't miss the pides, sometimes called Turkish pizzas..." Read full review...
